The Marche des 4 pattes is coming back!

Grab your leashes and harnesses: our famous furballs walk is back with a bang this year!
On Saturday, September 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the whole family - furballs included - is welcome to join us at the shelter to meet and chat with exhibitors from the animal world! On the menu: barbecue, entertainment for the whole family and more.
The Marche des 4 pattes will depart from the shelter at 11am. The route will take approximately 1 h (3 km).
"Now that the worst of the pandemic is over, it's important for us to get closer to our community. We want the SPCA de l'Outaouais to be accessible, dynamic and attentive to citizens who love animals as much as we do! We very much appreciate the support of people who want to help us pursue our important mission, particularly in terms of awareness and education," explains Maxime Daigle, Executive Director of the SPCA de l'Outaouais.
The very first Marche des 4 pattes took place over 20 years ago at the SPCA de l'Outaouais. Back then, the team came up with the idea of setting up this event to enable Outaouais animal lovers to get together and share a good time in the company of their furballs!
The idea worked so well that two decades later, the Marche des 4 pattes has become a must-attend celebration in the region.
Over the years, this fundraising event has enabled us to collect donations to carry out a number of projects at the shelter: purchasing equipment for our veterinary clinic, refurbishing our enclosures, buying new, larger cages for our little boarders and much more!

These funds will be used to :
- Update our aging equipment so we can help more animals, faster.
- Continue our project to replace all old cages with new ones better suited to life at the shelter.
- Purchase specialized equipment to help injured animals that we are sometimes unable to save at present.
