Apart from adoptions, most of our services are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY (abandonment, stray, foster family, medical appointment). Please contact us if you are unsure of what to do BEFORE coming to the shelter.

To report a case of animal abuse or neglect that you personally witnessed, regardless of your sector or municipality, please call 1-844-ANIMAUX. Such reports are confidential.

The SPCA de l'Outaouais recognizes the importance of impartiality and the absence of conflict of interest in any actions or interventions carried out within the framework of its law enforcement activities. Our organizational structure, our method of management and the relationship between our investigation office and our other departments allows us to maintain the impartiality necessary for our law enforcement activities.

To report a stray, injured or dangerous cat or dog, if you witness an attack or are the victim of a biting incident, for a barking or any other complaint and wish to notify the authorities:

Monday to Friday between 8 am and 4:30 pm, call 311.
In the evening or on weekends, refer to the Gatineau Police Department at 819 246-0222.


MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais

To report a stray, injured or dangerous cat or dog, if you witness an attack or are the victim of a biting incident, for a barking or any other complaint and wish to notify the authorities:
