The Ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation (MAPAQ) collects, processes and delegates reports of animal negligence and cruelty to its agents, including the Outaouais SPCA. Our officers are required to cover the entire territory of the Outaouais.
Our team of inspectors and animal control officers from the SPCA de l'Outaouais are then responsible for conducting inspections and enforcing:
— Provincial animal protection legislation, namely the the Animal Welfare and Safety Act and the Cat and Dog Safety and Welfare Regulations.
