The SPCA de l'Outaouais and the SPA mobile du Québec organize a low-cost feline sterilization day

Gatineau, April 22nd, 2024 – The SPCA de l'Outaouais and the SPA mobile du Québec are proud to join forces to organize a low-cost feline sterilization day on Saturday, May 11, 2024!
Eligible citizens (see conditions below) can have their pets sterilized for $75. The SPCA de l'Outaouais will finance the balance of the costs and will also provide the microchip, basic vaccine (PRC) and dewormer for the animals that will be sterilized that day. Places will be limited.
The initiative is aimed at low-income households in the Outaouais region. Households that fall into this category, with a total income of less than $55,000, can fill in the online form to express their interest.
Each household will be able to have a maximum of two (2) cats sterilized. The owner must be available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to bring the animal and pick it up at the end of the procedure.
This initiative aims to promote the health and well-being of cats by offering spay/neuter services at an affordable price to members of our community. There are many benefits to spaying and neutering cats, including reducing cat overpopulation, preventing undesirable behaviors and promoting better animal health.

About the SPA mobile du Québec
The primary mission of the SPA mobile du Québec is to help organize microchipping and targeted sterilization clinics to combat animal overpopulation.
The SPA mobile du Québec works directly with various shelters, animal rescues, non-profit organizations that help people, municipalities and so on. However, private individuals can also contact us to control cat overpopulation on their property (e.g.: overpopulation of barn cats).
The second mission of the SPA mobile du Québec is to take in cats, care for them and find them a family for life.
