A foster family provides temporary care to the animals of the shelter, which for various reasons need to live in a residential family environment before adoption.
Each year, more than 600 animals are placed in foster homes, releasing much needed space in our shelter. Our foster families are supported by our dedicated and by our medical team.
The foster family program is essential to our shelter. Without the help of our volunteer families, our success rate would not be as impressive. Hundreds of adoptions are possible every year because of our foster families, who not only care for our little orphans and give them love and care, but also help us to find a new and ideal home. With more than 7,000 animals in our care each year, it would be impossible for us to provide them with the care and medical assistance they need without the help of generous foster families.
